Wilson Adaptive Technologies is committed to making our website and documentation accessible to everyone.

Our Commitment

Accessibility is not an add-on for WAT — it's foundational. Our organization exists to improve accessibility in physical spaces, and we hold our digital presence to the same standard.

This website is designed and built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We continuously test and improve our site to ensure it works well for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification software, and other assistive technologies.

Built-In Accessibility Features

This website includes the following accessibility features:

  • Semantic HTML: Proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, and structure for screen reader navigation
  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are fully operable with a keyboard
  • Focus indicators: Visible focus outlines on all interactive elements
  • Skip-to-content link: Bypass navigation and jump directly to main content
  • Color contrast: All text meets WCAG AA minimum contrast ratios

Accessibility Settings Panel

Look for the accessibility icon (♿) in the bottom-right corner of every page. Our settings panel lets you customize your experience:

  • Increase or decrease font size
  • Enable a dyslexia-friendly font
  • Adjust line and letter spacing
  • Switch to high contrast mode
  • Enable dark mode
  • Enable grayscale mode
  • Underline all links
  • Reduce animations
  • Activate a reading ruler
  • Use text-to-speech to read page content aloud

All preferences are saved locally and remembered between visits.

Language Support

This website supports 10 languages: English, Spanish, French, Russian, Hindi, Malayalam, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Arabic, and Bengali. Arabic content displays in right-to-left (RTL) layout. The language selector is available in the header and footer of every page.

Known Limitations

We are continuously improving. Currently known limitations include:

  • Some downloadable documents are in PDF format and may have limited accessibility compared to HTML versions. We provide HTML alternatives where possible.
  • Automated machine translations may contain inaccuracies. We are working with professional translators to improve quality.
  • Some older video content may not yet have complete captions or transcripts.
