The Problem We're Solving
Millions of people worldwide face bathing environments that are unsafe, inaccessible, or completely unavailable. Standard showers don't accommodate wheelchair users, people with limited mobility, or the caregivers who assist them.
The result: injuries, loss of dignity, caregiver burnout, and a fundamental inequality in something as basic as personal hygiene. WAT exists to change that.
Evidence-Driven, Community-Built
WAT collaborates with Wayne State University and TechTown Detroit, combining engineering, occupational therapy, public health research, and inclusive design to build solutions grounded in real evidence and real user needs.
🎓 Interdisciplinary Approach
Our work spans engineering, occupational therapy, technical writing, public health, and user experience design — because real solutions require real collaboration.
